This course explains everything about each single sensor on automotive engines.
We have covered everything you need to test and diagnose the sensors, this includes:
– Identifying the sensors and sensors location
– Understanding how each sensor works
– Understanding the sensors wiring and diagram, and how to identify each wire on sensors.
– Testing each sensor with a multimeter.
– Using a scan tool to read the live data in order to diagnose the sensors.
– Using an oscilloscope to read and analyze the waveforms on sensors and diagnose them using the waveform.
– Using a sensor simulator (pulse generator) to diagnose the sensor circuits.
There are many practical activities in this course. So, after understanding the sensor operation, we locate and check each sensor on the car, and on each step, we use the wiring diagrams for that exact car, to practice how to use the diagrams for diagnosing a car.
We also use different type of tools and equipment including multimeter, oscilloscope and sensor simulator.
Here is a list of sensors that we have covered:
– Mass Air Flow Sensor
– Intake Air temperature Sensor
– Throttle Position Sensor
– Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor
– Camshaft Position Sensor
– Crankshaft position Sensor
– Knock Sensor
– Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor
– Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor
– Oxygen Sensor (Wideband & Narrowband)
– Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor
– Oil Pressure Sensor
– Oil Temperature Sensor
– Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor
– Boost Pressure Sensor
– DPF Differential Pressure Sensor
– Water in Diesel Sensor
